Software Engineer, Jigs and Fixtures

About you:
You’re a software engineer with a passion for automating and interfacing with actuators, cameras, sensors, and other hardware building blocks. You love to collaborate with other teams to understand requirements, troubleshoot problems, and work toward solutions in support of R&D and manufacturing goals. You understand the importance of data collection and analysis for the purpose of making engineering decisions and enhancing manufacturing processes. 

What you’ll do:

  • Work as part of the cross-functional jigs and fixtures team responsible for delivering automated and semi-automated solutions for R&D and Manufacturing groups
  • Interface with multi-disciplinary teams to integrate hardware components and fixtures through all stages of new product development
  • Create software that will help deliver the wearable computing system of the future

What you’ll need:

  • High coding skill in C, C++, or other high-level languages
  • Experience interfacing with hardware at the register level
  • Experience with vision inspection systems
  • Experience with data acquisition
  • Experience planning and estimating software development tasks in an Agile environment
  • Experience writing unit-testable code
  • Proficiency with a VCS (preferably git)
  • Degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent (in lieu of degree, minimum four years of relevant work experience)

Bonus points for:

  • Experience with data analysis
  • Experience building cross-platform UIs, especially with Qt + QML
  • Proficiency with other programming or scripting languages
  • Related personal projects and open source work
